ANOTHER GREAT DAY FISHING

We were trying to use the last warm days of October before the cold hits Chicago again. Believe it or not we went fishing. Same place same mosquitoes expecting to catch the same fish!

Everything started with passion. I didn’t even have time to buckle up ;-)! We went down that same road to the creek of Northern Pike ;-)! We got all the gears out and even had some new fisherman, I mean fisher girls ;-)! See the best techniques for fishing on the video! You can’t beat that! Amazing!

I realized that my massive presence at the creek shore can scare any living creature from these waters! May be that’s why we didn’t catch anything, nothing, zilch, nada!!! We stayed few more hours expecting the fish to come our way but with no success!

At the end of the day was that a disaster or just another great relaxing outdoors experience. We all had fun, laughed and enjoyed the SPRITE ;-)! It wouldn’t have hurt to catch something but at least we caught another great day in America!

HOW TO CATCH CATFISH AND NORTHERN PIKE

On Wednesday night after work I called Emo to go fishing again. I was full with enthusiasm and little experience ;-)! Emo his wife, daughter and I went to the creek, the mosquitoes’ paradise! At first I started my usual ecological mission. I pulled all kinds of junk from the bottom of that creek. One of the time I didn’t get my fishing hook out L.

Then the show began. Emo had one of the bait in the water and the fishing stick just lying on the ground. At once it pulled and there you go a little catfish was couth. We were excited but the fish was not worth eating it. So later on we let that catfish go in the creek until it is grown up to feed us ;-)!

Then I messed up the fishing string and Emo decided to help me out. While he was helping me something started pulling the string. The fight began and after few seconds we had out the Northern Pike. It was about 24 inches (61 centimeters). The dangerous animal was jumping around trying to get more of the fake fish.

So after all we were happy and all the mosquito bites were worded ;-)!

Good job Emo, let’s get more fish on the Weekend. It is so tasty!

So as you all can see the best way to catch a catfish and a northern pike is to have a good company and a lot of luck ;-)! He he he !

CATCHING THE GREATEST FISH

Today I have a news to share with you. My roomy got a great FISH! Yesterday we went to a near by creek. I didn't have any expectations. I don't even fish in America. As a friend of mine said I don't like fishing I love catching ;-)!
So we went to that creek expecting more mosquito bites but instead we've got the GREATEST FISH EVER ;-)!
It was a 33' (84 centimeters) long bass. The head looked like a mutated crocodile! it is an amazing catch and it tastes amazing ;-).

DRIVING THROUGH EUROPE

Driving a car through Europe is a life time experience. It is much better then taking a train or even airplane. Europe is streaming history from every corner, every town every country. Just imagine driving through all the capital cities of Europe and getting a little touch of that culture and history. Meeting different people trying different food and enjoying the best hotels! The only downside is the fuel prise. I guess the credit card has to be wide open and not really think about money much ;-)!
So please share with me where have you traveled in Europe. Share with me your experience from different cities cultures and people! I a looking forward to hear from you!

DRIVING TO GREECE

May be Driving a nice BENTLEY to Greece is a good idea! Comfort, European Autobahns, seeing different countries! The only downside is how to get that car ;-)! Tell me what do you think guys! ;-)

HOW TO TRAVEL TO THESSALONIKI GREECE 2

Well after yesterdays' wild dreaming it is time for the next traveling possibility. I believe that the whole thing depends ON how do you look at the trip. Is it just going from point A to point B or there is much more to it? I love traveling and always absorb everything around ;-)! So well my be a FLIGHT FROM CHICAGO TO THESSALONIKI is the best option! Why not a flight to somewhere in Europe and then travel to Greece a different way? LONDON is the first place that comes to my mind. I love this city! To me it is just the CAPITAL OF THE WORLD!!! So if I go to London first I will need a city guide. May be stay there for a week visiting all the famous places, Tate Modern, London Bridge and Shakespeare's Theater. Should I stay in a Hostel or in a nice expensive Hotel. May be I can find a nice Hotel deals - any ideas guys? Then after seeing all of my friends get on a Train to Greece. Traveling through the whole of Europe! My wild imagination is loosing it again. I will have to stop here for today! THE TRIP THROUGH EUROPE WILL BE TOMORROW!

HOW TO TRAVEL TO THESSALONIKI GREECE 1

One of the first question of moving over to Thessaloníki is how can I get there? Please let me go wild with my boring imagination. Living in Chicago the options are few. Why not entertaining the conversation with the boat trip to Europe. Taking a drive to the East coast of US and getting on a cross continental ship. How long will it take? How much will it coast? Will I be able to survive the sea journey? I don't know but it is just and idea for adventure. Just imagine with me that trip. It is absolutely hypothetical! Getting on a boat at New York! Seeing a lot of people mainly on vacation! This is not the fastest road to Europe. These people a group of passengers with adventuring spirit and a lot of time in their hands. Travelers who put the effort to meet with others and share their stories. I wish to be able to walk among people with desire to explore the world and not just to hide themselves in the casual life of existence. I would probably hear stories as much away from the truth as possible but changed for one reason alone, getting the attention of the listeners just as in the days of fairy tail tellers. I can stair at the endless blue of the ocean and let my thoughts fly as far as they can. I realizing how little and insignificant I can be!
Yeah, traveling with a ship from New York to Thessaloníki will be a life time experience. Long, relaxing and may be expensive but changing the perspective an eye opening journey. I just had a tribute ;-)!
I wish I can go like that but I guess it will be another time ;-) if ever!

WHY THESSALONIKI

May be you wonder why did I named my blog Thessaloniki. One of the reasons is that I am planning to move there soon to live. It is a big step for me even though it is not the first country that I move to. The only difference is that this time I am using mainly the Internet to prep this transition. I realized that no matter how wonderful the city of Thessaloniki is it is not near to the Internet heaven ;-)! I've been doing a lot research trying to find an apartment to rent, I was looking at the best cultural events to see and the social live where I can get involved.
With this blog I will share my experience in the transition process. I would appreciate any advice and web links and directions. I hope that one day all that info will be of use to another person who tries to move and live in Thessaloniki, Greece!

Well, after a long time of consideration it is time for me to go into the Blog world. It is a way to express oneself in a way and audience as never before. I am jumping in and lets see what happens!
